Is the size the same as The Classic (the original fridge)?
Yep, it has the same footprint and standard capacity as The Classic. Because The Essential has a single temperature zone, there’s no dual-zone divider taking up space inside, which gives us room to offer even more shelving. If you need extra capacity, you can also add the Rack Expansion Pack, which adds two additional racks and lets you fit even more inside.
How is The Essential cheaper?
Instead of stripping out features, we started from scratch and found smarter ways to make a Rocco for less. The Essential has a more streamlined design that’s less complex to manufacture (curved edges and reeded glass are harder to make than they look), it has a single temperature zone instead of two, and a 2 year warranty instead of 10. Don’t worry, we’re working on an Extended Warranty Program as we speak.
We cut costs where we could without cutting corners on the things that matter. If it doesn’t feel like a cheaper fridge, we did our job right.
Does The Essential still have the smart features?
Yes, The Essential still has a built-in Sight System so you can see inside your fridge from your phone along with controls for the temperature, lights, and cooldown mode.
Is The Essential just as quiet?
Yes, The Essential uses the same world-class compressor as the original fridge. Rocco runs as low as 39 dB, quieter than a library. We engineered three custom cooling modes so you can choose what works best for your moment. Hosting? Switch to Party Mode for rapid chilling (yes, it’s a little louder, but your drinks will be ice-cold in no time). Want peace and quiet? Quiet Mode keeps noise to a minimum while still keeping everything refreshingly cool. Powered by one of the highest-quality compressors on the market, Rocco is often praised by customers as being significantly quieter than the fridge it replaced.
When will Early Access Pricing end?
We don’t have a set date yet, but as soon as we sell out of our initial inventory and are fully in stock, we’ll be raising the price to $1,195. If you want to purchase now and are nervous about when the fridge will arrive, don’t be. Our logistics partner will call and email you to schedule the delivery and they can hold the fridge up to a month in their warehouse if needed.
How does the risk-free trial work?
Try Rocco in your own home for 30 days and see how it fits into your space. And if you happen to be part of the less than 1% who decide it's not the right fit, we'll come pick it up and completely refund you. Easy as that. Keep in mind, your Rocco must be returned with legs and handle removed, and in original packaging.
