Why isn't the gift card the same price as the fridge on sale?

The gift card is actually the same price as the fridge and (for a limited time) takes advantage of our holiday discount. Though it appears to be $150 higher than the base price of the fridge, it actually covers any taxes or shipping your recipient may need to pay during checkout. We wanted to make sure the gift card covered the full cost of the fridge.

Why should I get someone a gift card instead of the fridge?

The gift card lets your recipient pick their favorite color of the 5 options we have, and choose the delivery date that works best for them.
